It is a complex process with many factors, used to develop, repair, and improve weapons, armor and parts of clothing.
Broken item is the result of item abuse. We must constantly monitor the condition of our weapons and repair them in the event of continuous fights. Otherwise its uniqueness will fall to broken.
Upgrading Items
The statistics of improved items can be viewed under the Rarity tab. To upgrade an item, open your inventory and then right-click on "Upgrade Item". Upgrading an item to the next level costs 10 rune shards, and with each level this value increases by another 10. This does not apply to the cursed uniqueness that you acquire with souls and the original uniqueness that you acquire with Bijuu Essence.
Developing Items
Chance to develop an item:
1-3: 90%. 100% with Improved Uniqueness. It does not destroy itself when it fails.
4-6: 80%. 100% with Improved Uniqueness. It destroys itself when it fails.
7-8: 60%. 100% with rarel uniqueness. It destroys itself when it fails.
9-11: 40%. 100% for legendary uniqueness. It destroys itself when it fails.
12-15: 30%. 100% with original uniqueness. It destroys itself when it fails.
Each item can be developed up to a maximum of +15. Each + increases damage or defense, depending on the use of the item, by 5%. You can develop items with a runestone. It is available in a random drop.
At +5 and above, you can put one rune or glyph into the item. At +10 we can put on a second rune or glyph.
Runes and Glyphs List
Glyphs / runes are divided into difficulty levels. A higher level of advancement requires more runestone shards. Glyphs are only for armor, while runes are for weapons only.

We can remove runes and glyphs from the Blacksmith's item, but lose them forever.
Repairing items
It is needed to keep our item unique and not to spoil it. All items from the backpack can be repaired with TenTen by paying 50 ryo for it, restoring 100% of the item's condition, or you can repair the item yourself with 5 rune shards.
